Apple Hazelnut Muffins

Ingredients
1/2 C. hazelnuts, chopped into a coarse flour
1/2 C. all-purpose flour
2T. baking powder
1/4 C. sugar
1 egg
2 T. butter, melted and cooled
1/2 C. warm milk
1 T. vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1/2 C. chopped dried apples

Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Combine hazelnuts, flour, baking powder and sugar.
3. Add egg, butter, milk, vanilla, salt and apples. Let stand for 10 minutes.
4. Fill non-stick muffin pan (or regular muffin pan with paper liners) with the batter.
5. Bake 8-10 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Makes 4 muffins.
