Growers expect good apple season this year in Pennsylvania

It's shaping up to be good year for Pennsylvania's apple crop thanks to relatively ideal weather and no major disease or insect problems.

While it was drier than normal in many parts of the state, there were no substantial droughts, said James Diamond, dean of agriculture and environmental sciences at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown.
