'Enjoying the Harvest' Activity Book Available for Kids

A new publication is available for children and their parents to show them how food is grown. The Wisconsin Berry Growers Association, along with the Wisconsin Apple Growers Association and the Wisconsin Fresh Market Vegetable Growers have teamed up to produce the booklet, "Enjoying the Harvest."

Written by WBGA Director Anna Maenner, the book features fun and educational activities that children can use to better understand how fruit and vegetables are raised, processed and marketed before they get to their kitchen table.

'Enjoying the Harvest' will debut at the 2006 Wisconsin Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Conference. Growers are encouraged to partner with their local schools to get the booklet into the hands of teachers and students.
