Apple crop a sweet one

Not much good can be said of Hurricane Katrina. But, as the storm moved northeast from the gulf it dropped large amounts of rainfall around New York state, right at the peak of apple ripening. The result is numerous reports of the apple crop being the "sweetest" ever.
