Raised in England in 1849

Description: Medium in size with prominent ribs on the body and at the eye, the bright yellow skin is flushed reddish orange and striped red. The yellow flesh is fine-grained, firm and crisp with a slightly subacid sweet flavor.
Tree Characteristics:
This moderately vigorous, small compact tree is a tip bearer that is late flowering.

Description: Medium size fruit with rich red flush or stripes over pale yellow with occasional russeting. Firm, juicy, creamy white flesh is sweet, richly flavored and lightly aromatic but needs to be left on the tree to fully ripen.
Tree Characteristics:
Small, compact tree produces good crops but tends to be biennial. Scab resistant.

Description: Fruit is pale yellow flushed with deeper yellow. Flesh is crisp and juicy, flavor is sweet-tart. Ripens later than Transparent and keeps longer.
Tree Characteristics:
Resistant to apple scab. Tendency to biennial bearing can be remedied by thinning. Dependable, productive trees.
